What does this qualification cover?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide specialist knowledge, skills and understanding relating to working in the Police force in areas such as career aspirations, leadership skills and equality, diversity and inclusion, which can be applied to current or future employment.
Who is this qualification suitable for?
This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 or above and is designed to provide them with an in-depth understanding of the principles of Policing and to allow them to explore the various avenues of work within it.
It willl also allow learners to gain transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners should be aged 16 or above to undertake this qualification.
How is this qualification structured?
To be awarded the Level 3 Introductory Certificate in Policing, learners are required to successfully complete 1 mandatory unit and 2 optional units.
How is this qualification assessed?
This qualification is internally assessed with a Portfolio of Evidence.
